Chapter 43 Nate Hanson

Paige's POV

"Paige!" Naomi's soft and energetic voice filled my ear as I passed by an ice cream shop. She's waving at me while sitting beside Noah, who's staring at me with his gentle eyes. Oh, God! It's a wrong decision to walk pass here.

Naomi's innocent face was looking at me. She's signaling me to come as she flashes a sweet smile. I don't have plans to be in the same place with Noah but I can't hurt an innocent kid's feelings.

I was forced to enter the ice cream shop and went to their table. I didn't bother glancing at Noah but I can feel the intensity of his stares.

"Paige, I missed you! Do you want some ice cream?"

I want to curse my fate. Why did I accidentally get entangled with the Hanson kids? This is insane.

I smiled at her and shook my head. "I'm sorry, sweetie. I can't stay long, I'm kinda busy."

Her lips pouted and her energy dropped. "Okay…"

I heaved a sigh and lifted her face by putting my finger on her chin. I gave her a sweet smile. "Maybe some other time?"
