Chapter 44 The New Guest

Paige's POV

Nate doesn't want me to leave, so I waited for him to fall asleep. I even lay beside him on his bed, gently patting his arm until he finally fell asleep. I smiled and kissed his cheek. I slowly got off the bed and accidentally glanced at the picture frame on his bedside table.

I stared at the photo. It was Nate and he's not smiling in the photo. It seems like the shot was taken after he cried. He's even hugging a toy.

My forehead creased as I stared at the photo. Is Hanson's blood that strong? Why does Nate resemble Noah and Neo so much? He didn't inherit any physical features from his mom? Where is his mom's photo, by the way?

"Paige…"

I blinked multiple times and looked at the door. Neo is looking at me. I walked towards him and glanced at Nate again before closing the door.

"He's asleep. I'm leaving now."
