47. Care

Nandini got up in the middle of the night feeling hot. Looking at the time, she noticed it was almost 4am in the morning. She looked at her other side where Manik was sleeping facing his back to her. She didn’t disturb his sleep. Lowering the temperature of the air conditioner a little, she went back to sleep.

The next morning, Nandini was the first one to wake up. She stretched her arms lazily and opened her eyes. Her eyes went to the glass window, it was a sunny day. She turned to Manik’s side hoping to be greeted with his smile. He has been the first one to wake up since they came here but the scenario was different this morning.
