54. Missing Peace

Manik was driving the car. When she was having the last bite, he stopped the car at one side. Before Nandini could understand anything, he pulled her over him and joined his lips with hers.

“Umm!” Nandini moaned in his mouth.

They kept kissing each other for a long time before parting ways due to the lack of breath.

“My favorite ice cream tasted better.”

Manik muttered, tucking her hair strands behind her ear. Nandini blushed and hid her face in his neck.

“It’s a treat to watch her. Every antics of her is adorable. I wish she had the idea of her effect on me. Every feature of her attracts me like a magnet. She will never know that watching her is my favorite pastime. She will never know that I stay awake almost every night only to see her sleeping in my arms. At some point, I feel I could keep everything at stake to keep her with me. She is the missing peace of mine which I never had.” Manik was thinking all this while holding her in his arms.
