The next morning, Jane woke up to find her face puffy.

I must say, Jackson Drew had quite the grip yesterday, she thought.

She changed her clothes and headed downstairs, catching sight of Damien eating breakfast.

Approaching him, she greeted, "Good morning, Damien."

"Morning." Damien nodded in response, but his gaze lingered on her face.

Jane approached the dining table and thanked him for yesterday.

Damien's attention was still on her face, and he asked, "What happened to your face?"

Jane touched her face and explained, "It's just inflamed wisdom teeth causing the swelling."

Damien suggested, "You should take some anti-inflammatory medication."

Jane agreed, and they ate in silence. Before leaving for work, Damien told her to stay at home as someone would be coming over in the afternoon.

Curious, Jane asked who it was, but Damien dismissed it as unimportant.
