The next morning, Jane headed downstairs and found Evelyn looking at her sympathetically. "Madam, men always have entertainment outside," she said.

Jane was taken aback for a moment before understanding the implication. "Did Damien not return yesterday?" she asked.

Evelyn nodded. "He has many friends and used to stay out at night in the old house. Don't be angry."

Jane nodded, but couldn't help but think about how Damien's nightlife was so rich. However, she quickly dismissed the thought as Evelyn added, "He is quite a clean man and has never brought a girlfriend home."

Jane smiled. "Eve, I'm hungry. Is breakfast ready?"
