Sheila tried using work to distract herself but it wasn't working, so she just sat there lost and confused. She didn't know if she should tell Derrick, but she didn't want him knowing of her past relationship with Jordan. What would he think of her if he knew she once got involved with an ex-convict?

How would he see her knowing that she was with a man who abused her and she still stayed with him all in the name of love?

And confused as she was, Sheila wasn't sure she should let Zoey know what was going on. It would definitely freak Zoey out, who would then tell it to Jimmy or someone else, all in a bid to help.

She was still deep in thought when the sound of the computer jerked her back to reality. Checking, she saw that it was a mail from Arena group inviting Derrick to its ball.

The ball was held every year and was rumored to be exciting. She had never gone to one, but she had read stories about it, hopefully, she would be able to attend this time around.
