Chapter Thirty Seven

'That must be the reason why she took so long, ' Derrick thought. 

"Okay, where is she?" he asked. 

"She's in one of the guest's rooms upstairs. Come on, I can tell one of the maids to take you there" she said trying not to sound too desperate so he wouldn't be suspicious. 

"It's fine, let's just go and see her," he said, standing up, even though it took all the strength in him to do, he still stood up anyways.

He tried to walk but almost fell, Jenna quickly supported him but he jerked his arm out of her grasp. 

"I'm okay, I can manage," he said, trailing behind her. 

"If you say so."

They walked on but when it was time to climb the stairs, Derrick didn't feel like he could go on.

Jenna moved closer to him and whispered in his ears. 

"It's not okay if you fall off the stairs, just lean on me a bit till we get to where we are going, people are watching. "
