"Do you really not remember anything?" asked Gama to be sure, his eyes looking at Clarissa with a curious look.

Clarissa lowered her face, her jaw hardening as her emotions boiled over. She felt hurt by Gama's question which seemed to belittle her condition. "I don't mind if you don't believe me," she said bitterly. "It's normal for me to be looked down upon because of my disability. But I'm doing this so that you and the people there will no longer look down on me."

Gama paused, feeling guilty that his words had hurt Sierra. She never meant to, it was just that curiosity overpowered her sensitivity.

After an awkward pause, Clarissa spoke up again, "I can't remember my past clearly, but I can still feel the emotions attached to it. Loss, pain, and suffering... all mixed together."

Gama listened intently, stunned at the look in Clarissa's eyes that implied deep sadness. A feeling of guilt crept into his heart
