He did not need to feel so angry at the person he did not even know. But the marks on Hazel's face said it all. He was an asshole.Sighing internally, Tobias stepped back from Hazel who was about to cry. He did not need to interfere in her matters. Rushing back to Tobias's office, she barged inside without knocking. Her face was turning red with all the anger, embarassment and humiliation already while it was just her second day in this damned office. Tobias Ashford knew all the ways to frustrate her and push her to her limits. “ You sent me to her. If you knew she can do this, why did you send me to Suzy to get your schedule? ” She hissed, her hazel orbs throwing daggers at Tobias who was looking at her blankly. Silence stretched between them as the staring contest kept going for a while.Slowly, Hazel walked over to him and stopped on the other side of the table to maintain her distance. “ Why? ” Repeating her question, she narrowed her eyes wanting an answer.
AUTHOR'S POVReaching the office on time the next morning, Hazel prepared the coffee for Tobias. The one he wanted and liked. Rushing to the top floor, Hazel knocked on his office's door and stepped inside after a moment to find him still working. His clothes were not changed and this made Hazel realize that he never went home. Was he here the whole day yesterday and then last night too? Hazel wondered with surprise clear in her eyes. “ Leave the coffee on the table Ms Cameron. ” He ordered in a hoarse voice without looking up from his laptop screen and Hazel stepped forth obeying his command. Her eyes never left his face though. His eyes were bloodshot focusing hard on the laptop screen, his forehead was adorned with a frown and his thick lips were set in a thin line. He was tired but who was here to ask him to take some rest or he was going to fall sick at this rate? “
AUTHOR'S POV “ Are you sure we have slept together before? ” He asked and Hazel found herself frozen on her spot.Slowly exhaling the breath she held back, Hazel tried to act normal when in reality, she was just freaking out internally. Tobias observed her closely trying to find the truth in her eyes but she was good at it. Hazel Cameron was good at making people see only what she wanted them to see. “ What makes you say that? ” Lifting her chin defiantly, Hazel sneered at Tobias who blinked lazily. She wanted to act bold to hide the truth. Indeed a good tact, Tobias thought. Dragging his tongue across his lips, Tobias lowered his gaze and fixed his eyes on her cherry lips. Leaning in until his nose touched hers, he breathed heavily and a smirk tugged up the corner of his lips. “ Your body is stiff. I feel like you don't want me to touch you and y
AUTHOR'S POV “ But I think I am falling in love with you. ” The words spilled out of Hazel's mouth on their own and she found even herself getting surprised. Tobias who just took his eyes off Hazel, whipped his head up to gaze at her. She was standing on the same spot, her eyes nervously boring into his and her fingers fumbling around. Now what was he supposed to do? He wondered as he relaxed back in his seat. His eyes stared at Hazel blankly. He knew she was waiting for an answer, but he had none. He did not know what to say anymore. “ You don't love me Ms. Cameron. ” He denied her claim once again. The look in her eyes was not that of love. She did not love him. She was scared and nervous and so fidgety because she too knew, that she was lying. “ I should leave now. ” Hazel breathed out and turned around, before storming out of there.

The bartender in the club where she was going to start performing from today. She was lost in her thoughts and she missed out on what he was saying at all. “ Focus. You need to focus. ” He reminded, making her nod her head at him or more to herself. “ I don't want to do it Jack. ” Raising her head again, she stared at him with her rare Hazel eyes. Her cherry bow shaped lips were set in a thin line, screaming her discomfort with all of this. Her straight pointed nose was standing proud, her broad forehead was adorned with a deep frown. “ You have to do it Hazel and you have to do it right. ” He warned her this time, using her real name.
