"Hey."

"It's been long and I know my call came out of nowhere."

Elena nodded. "Indeed it did. Wasn't expecting it."

"I've been feeling guilty, Elena. That's why I couldn't call."

Elena sighed. "I understand the part of you unable to help me, Emily, it's the fact that you didn't call. It's like you just vanished out of my life."

Emily nodded. "I know. It's just...whenever I ask for your help, you're always there for me but when you came to me, all I could do was turn you down, I just...I felt devastated. Like I couldn't show myself to you."

Elena shook her head at her friend's way of thinking.

Emily Wyatt was her best friend from school. They went to the same college, studied different courses, and became friends with Evan, and even though they weren't all that rich, just being together as friends made them happy.

Emily wasn't able to help her due to financial circumstances and she understood. Her parents wouldn't be able to help her, especially since she was a pregnant woman.
