Chapter twenty six

The morning sun greeted me with its warmth as I opened the curtains on the balcony. I had just come out of the bathroom after washing my face, and I had been smiling since earlier. Who wouldn't? There were so many roses in the room when I woke up, not just one color, but various shades.

Alex had also left a letter in there, and I couldn't help but roll around on my bed. Even though we had a little argument last night because he didn't want us to sleep in separate rooms and preferred that I stay in his room, which I didn't agree with. I wanted to avoid any potential distractions this early.

A message interrupted my thoughts, so I approached the bedside table and checked my phone.

'Good morning! Do you like the flowers?'

I smiled and started typing a reply to him, but my smile faded when I read his next message.

'Is it prettier than the flowers you received yesterday?'

I was about to feel thrilled, but he had to remind me of yesterday. Alex has a knack for ruining the mood.
