The three people who were taken aback by Mr Arnold were speechless and didn't know what to say. Mr Arnold looked at his wife questioningly...Mrs Arnold's knew that there was no point of lying. "i-i , my husband, we did what we thought was best . You know Rain lost two of her pregnancies before and the doctor confirmed that the child was not healthy so we thought it best that the child should be terminated instead. . She is not in the right condition to give birth to this child I did this for the sake of our daughter. Natasha here will marry Zain so our family relations don't get affected " Mrs Arnold explained patiently, making sure not to say anything wrong.

"Wait a minute, you said you terminated her pregnancy because the child was not healthy? now you are saying Rain was not in good condition to give birth? firstly, how did you even terminate her pregnancy? Did she agree to this?" Mr Arnold asked so many questions which made his wife tongue tied.

"Uncle, I was also involved in this..Rain is not in good condition to give birth as at now but she kept on insisting on keeping the child. She had no idea that medicine was put in her juice to terminate her pregnancy. This was the only way. Her life and health is more important than anything else, that's why we did this" Zain explained.

"And how do you feel, having to be engaged to my eldest daughter and due to her inability to give birth to a child for you right now, you decide to go for the younger one, tell me, how does it feel?" Mr Arnold said this, looking at Zain sternly. Zain averted Mr Arnold's gaze and dropped his head without saying a word.

He turned and looked at his youngest daughter who was his favorite, "and you, how do you feel about stealing your elder sister's fiance? Don't you care about what people will say?"

"Dad, Rain brought this upon herself, I am not to blame for her misfortune, she knew she was pregnant the first time but she was still negligent and behaved like a wild...

"Enough! Natasha , Rain is your elder sister. You people have lost your minds"

"Husband, we did this for her, she is also my flesh and blood. At this moment, Zain needs to get married and our family can't cut ties with the Williams family all because of Rain's mistakes. That's why I suggested that Zain and Natasha get married instead. Husband think about this more rationally. Rain made her own mistakes and there is nothing we can do about it. She is only facing the consequences of her carelessness"

"Are you her mother at all? No, wait, did you really give birth to this girl? Is she your flesh and blood?" Mr Arnold's questioned his wife.

"What kind of a question is that? Of course she is my flesh and blood, I gave birth to her so you should know that this hurts me more than it hurts anyone else here! " Mrs Arnold's spoke in a sharp tone.

"I will not take part in all this ruse you all are playing. Keep me out of it"

"Ruse? You call this a ruse? How dare you? What do you think of me?" Mrs Arnold's yelled at her husband. Mr Arnold indifferently waved his arm then turned and started to walk away. "You need to finish this conversation with me right now! Don't you dare walk out on me"

"Mum, just try and calm down. We will talk to dad some other time. He is angry. for now, give him some time" natasha advised in a soft tone.

Zain, quietly watched the drama unfold. He didn't want to get involved at this moment, this is not what he planned for.

"Son, your uncle is just a little angry, he will come around soon, don't worry. Focus on your wedding for now and make sure to set a date on time. You two have already gotten familiar with each other so I am sure you will get along well. Clear things up with Rain then focus on these other important things" Mrs Arnold's said to zain in a soft and comforting tone.

"I will have to discuss this with my father first" Zain responded then shifted his gaze elsewhere, not giving Mrs Arnold's the chance to say anything. Mrs Arnold's felt a little embarrassed, she cleared her throat before speaking "Natasha is three weeks pregnant, you have no choice but to marry her anyways". Zain was utterly stunned, he abruptly stood up and looked at the mother and daughter pair with a dropped jaw.

"W-What do-do you mean Natasha is pregnant? How?"

"Oh please Zain, don't act like a child, you remember the first night we spent together, and the second night? You claimed it was a mistake but that mistake resulted into this. You agreed to take part in Rain's abortion, I thought it was because of the two night's we spent together, that's why you easily agreed"

"Damn it Natasha! I only agreed because your mother had a point, marrying Rain would not have benefited me. I didn't want to be stuck with a woman who will only give me a female child then fails to give me a male child due to her inability to conceive. As for marrying you, I-I....

"It's fine Zain, I will just abort this child, don't worry about it, since you are not sure about me, what's the point of me giving birth to a child who will obviously not have a complete home? I wouldn't want to be the laughing stock of people out there"

Natasha spoke in a pitiful tone and dropped a few tears as if she were wronged. She slowly turned and was about to take a step when her arm was suddenly caught by Zain. "Natasha I am sorry, please don't do this. OK fine, it's fine, I will marry you okay? After all this is sorted out with Rain, I will set a date for our wedding. Our child will have a home. Just don't take it away. I-I mean don't get rid of our child. By the way, why didn't you tell me earlier?" Zain excitedly asked.

Mrs Arnold smirked, of course this was her daughter, she had Zain exactly where they wanted him to be. "Son, we just found out. Now you need to sort out Rain's issue then we look ahead. Don't worry, I will take care of Natasha in the meantime before you two get married. You don't have to worry about the baby" Mrs Arnold's assured with a bright smile on her face. She bid farewell to the two and walked out, she needed to talk to her husband, convince him about these things.

I hope Rain forgives me for this.. I am only doing what's best for the family. Mrs Arnold's thought to herself.
