I hissed as I felt a slight pang in my right shoulder. I was just walking out of the park of the school.

Fucky! What was that? I adjusted the sling of my bag that slipped over my shoulder then returned it.

“S-sorry!”

My eyes narrowed at the girl who bumped at me. She’s currently getting her books that fell down on the floor.

Even though she was on her knees and I couldn’t see her face she seemed familiar to me.

Where did I see her? I remained standing by her side as she arranged the books.

Get it up from its knees. “S-sorry … I really don’t mean to bump into you … I was just not looking in my direction.”

She put a few strands of hair behind her ear that blocked her face so I could see her whole face.

As far as I’m concerned, this is really a woman. I glanced at her. Is this woman really thin?

Very thin, like Bella Swan. I don’t know if I’ll be irritated with him because it looks like he didn’t really mean to hit me.

“I-I’m really sorry… Did I hurt you? Why aren’t you talking?” she asked worriedly.

“Yeah I’m fine.”

“I-I’m really sorry …”

“No it’s alright.”

She smiled genuinely at me. I scanned her face. She looks so innocent, especially when you stare at her chestnut eyes. She has fair skin and if you stare at her longer, she resembles Kristen Stuart.

Alta is right, she looks like that. He slightly bent down to feel my gaze. I looked down at his hand that was glued, he was squeezing the finger. He noticed that it was what I was staring at so he quickly saw the one in the back.

“I’m Adrasteia Meranza.” I don’t know why I introduced myself to her, I even held out my hand in front of her.

This woman looks kind, she’s just shy.

She lifted her head and shyly looked at me.

“L-layla Bienhurzen.”

Hmmm…

Never heard of Bienhurzen, so she must be new here.

She accepted my outstretched hand. “You can call me Adra or Stevia, everyone here calls me red hair Steia.” I smiled at her.

“Mine is just Layla.” She’s not really Bella after all. Good thing! She seems nice.

Maybe that’s why I was annoyed with her yesterday because I don’t want anyone else playing the character of Bella Swan who is someone else.

“You know twilight?” I asked out of the blue.

“H-huh?”

“Twilight, written by Stephenie Meyer. The novel?”

“There’s a movie now so it’s impossible you don’t know,” I said.

Her forehead furrowed. Seems confused by what I said. She didn’t seem to know them.

“You don’t know that?”

She shook her head. “No,”

“I read books, but not novels.” .

Fucky! Seriously?

She doesn’t really know twilight? Where did it come from and didn’t know it? Or maybe he’s just not really fond of it like I am … Maybe.

“I-I’ll read when I have free time. Is that your favorite?”

“Fucky! Yes!” her eyes widened at my answer.

Hmmm… Looks like he’s not used to hearing what I say either.

She noticed my stare at her. She immediately smiled at me.

“A-all right, let me try to read.”

She doesn’t seem nice because she is nice! Fucky! I can’t believe that I hate her for once! She looks innocent, fragile and witty too.

I can’t believe that Layla irritated me yesterday, or I just don’t want her to be Bella, the protagonist of the story. Especially now that I found out our town has vampires.

There’s a chance that Edward Cullen might be real. One percent chance I guess? But I don’t want Edward Cullen himself, she has Bella Swan and I don’t want to meddle on that story. I don’t have the fucky guts and chance! I want my own kind of Edward Cullen that I can have only for myself.

We parted ways with Layla because she was still going to the library. While I will wander around while Alta is still in class. My class is over so I was just in the park earlier. This is what I always do when I finish class first.

We plan to eat blood together later, betamax if you call it that. Because we love it there, in fact I can eat first, in case today is the day Alta will be free because I was there in the past so I’ll just wait for her. It’s only a matter of time before it comes out.

Vlad and I met eyes, he smiled as he leaned forward against the pole. “What are you doing here red haired Steia?”

I rolled my eyes at him. I’m not in the mood to bring fucky Vlad down now. I just want to roam around the school peacefully.

I passed him but he was over my wrist.

“What ?!” I stormed at him.

“You’re still into vampires huh?”

“Oh so you care now, Vlad?”

“I don’t really care about your damn obsession about vampires but damn Adra, your addiction is making you insane!” He chuckled.

I would have just passed him again but he crossed my wrist again. I tried to take that from him.

“Let go of me, Vlad,” I said seriously.

“Ohh… I’m scared Steia! Are you going to accuse me of seeing a vampire in battle ?!” He teased.

I saw his friends approaching in our direction along with the brides and a few girlfriends.

Fucky!

I don’t want to fight Vlad today because I received too much embarrassment yesterday and I don’t want you to add more but Vlad doesn’t want to let it go.

“Can you stop Vlad?”

“What if I don’t want to stop, Steia? What are you gonna do? You’re going to report? Go on! Report to, if you’re going to report a vampire!” He says laughing.

He really doesn’t know when I stop. I sighed heavily. I think I already lost my appetite just by looking at him.

“What’s happening?”

“Vampire? Again? Same old shit huh ?!” said Sheldon, one of his friends.

“Yeah. Can you believe it? After all those years she’s still into that!” Vlad laughed. They are currently all around me.

I saw Bernadette approach him. She caressed his shoulder.

“Leave her alone, Vlad. You know that woman is crazy.” She said with a smile. Her eyes were staring at my hair.

“Just look at her hair! Really, Adrasteia? Trying to be unique by coloring your hair red?”

“So maybe she colored so the vampire could see him right away!” He interrupt. I clasped my hand because of what that one said.

Bernadette approached me. “You even wear contact lenses to hide your peculiar eyes,” she said, full of hate .

My teeth chattered in annoyance at what he said. My whole body seemed to heat up as if it was boiling inside, probably annoyed with this woman.

“Maybe you’re really one of the vampires you’re addicted to?” I took the wrist from Vlad. I succeeded in doing so.

I took a deep breath as he approached me. I still accept why Vlad treats me like this but him? Is that really what human love does?

He even defeated the vampire he was referring to as the monster in what was being done to me and the other students here. We are twenty in fact, but when he behaves, he looks like fifteen.

“I think your madness is worse now because you saw a vampire, did you do drugs huh? Is that how it is when no one loves you? What a pity.” she sniffed artfully. Those around us laughed, as did Vlad.

“So even your father couldn’t handle your madness and committed suicide!”

This fucky bitch!

I quickly pulled her long hair, she moaned in pain, the people around us sighed.

If she thought I was just going to ignore what she said about my father she was mistaken. We’re not in the telenovela so I’m still bullying her. I pulled her closer to me.

“You’re saying this crazy… the man you like is crazy, so if I’m you, go crazy too, maybe Vlad will like you.” I said before letting go of her hair, I got no reaction from them so I walked away.

That’s what you get fucky bitch!

No one stopped me because even Vlad was natameme. I can’t understand why until now he is still angry with me. All of that is past. It’s a pity his name is Vlad, just like a vampire but he is a monster.

I will prove that I am right!

I will fucky prove them wrong. This is not addiction, more like adoration. I’m not insane… my father did not die because I’m insane.

Get them ready for me when I prove that the vampire is real!

I closed my eyes. I tried to bring back the memory to remember the place where I personally saw the vampire.

Fucky!

I rolled my eyes and his cold gaze fell on me.

What is this man doing in front of me?

In less than a few minutes, someone was going to tease me again.

My right eyebrow was raised. “What do you need? Will you embarrass me again?” I said sarcastically.

“Where did you see them?” I rolled my eyes at his question. He’s talking about the vampires.

“What are you doing?”

“Where did you see them?”

“I thought you didn’t believe in that, for someone who doesn’t believe in vampires, you’re different ah.”

“Answer me, Ms.”

“I don’t have to answer you because you’re not flirting with me and even if you flirt I won’t answer you because of your habit.” That’s what I said to stop me.

His forehead furrowed at what I said. “You’re getting it wrong, Ms.”

“Maybe, if you’re just going to tease me or embarrass me, put it off first. One per day is enough.” I marched away in front of him.

Fucky!

I stopped when he suddenly appeared in front of me. Is it going to walk fast?

His eyes are darker now as he glance at me. “Tell me.”

Fucky! Why do I have to deal with this ?!

“In the woods,”

“Are you sure?”

“Do I look like I’m fooling around? I saw them don, it’s like there’s a ritual being performed. If you don’t want to believe, don’t, I’ll just prove to you that what I saw is true!”

“What are you saying?”

“I’ll be back there,” I say emphatically.

“What time?”

My forehead furrowed at his question. “Why are you coming? What, to make me laugh if you don’t see any vampires?”

“No. I want to see it myself.” He answered calmly.

Even though I was wondering what he said, I just answered.

“I’m going later at midnight. Maybe you were asleep during those hours.” I will laugh at him.

“No. I’ll go with you.”
