Jarren's POV
I woke up the next morning, and Jillie wasn’t beside me. I got out of bed and walked into the bathroom. I turned on the shower and slipped inside. After washing my body and rinsing off, I got out of the shower and wrapped a towel around my waist.
I walked back into the bedroom and over to the closet. I pulled out a pair of jeans and a black long-sleeve shirt. I slid on a pair of boxers and then slipped on my clothes. I put on a pair of socks and headed out of the room. Rounding the corner to go into the kitchen, I was stopped in my tracks. “Go in the living room with the rest of them,” Sage told me. I didn’t argue. I just walked into the living room. The rest of the guys were sitting in there as well.“What are they doing in there?” Aaden asked. “Fixing breakfastJarren's POVAaden went next.“Have you ever skinny-dipped?” He read out loud once he pulled. “Why yes, yes I have.” Scarlett reached in to pull next.“What does it take to get in your paints,” she read. We all looked at her.“Let me see that,” Alyx said, taking the piece of paper. “Pants, idiot,” she said, rolling her eyes.“It doesn’t take much.” I heard Kaileeh whisper.“You have to be cute.” Scarlett finally answered. Sage was next.“Give a lap dance to the person next to you.” She looked between Alyx and Rian, who were both beside her, as if debating. “I need some music,” she said. I grabbed my phone and turned on Pandora. ‘Sexy Back’ by Justin Timberlake played. &n
Jillie’s POV I walked into the room, and over to the cup I’d sat on the nightstand. I heard the door close a minute later. I turned around, and Jarren was standing there. He was leaning against the door with his fist clenched. I looked into his eyes, and they weren’t the gorgeous gray/blue that I loved. They were changing. I held the cup out to him. He raised an eyebrow before walking over and taking it.“How did you-”“Closet,” I said, pointing and cutting him off. “Why else keep a fridge and a microwave in there?” I then asked, causing him to laugh. I sat on the bed and looked intently at me. He then looked down at the cup. I laughed a little, and his head snapped back to me.“You know you can go ahead and drink it,” I told him. “It’s not gonna freak me out or anythi
Jarren's POV I finally decided I could go back to the house after hours of calming down and feeding some. I walked through the front door, and everybody was in the living room—everybody except the person I wanted to see."Umm…hey man. Can we talk?" Aaden asked, wasting no time. I looked at him like he was stupid and then headed into the kitchen.I leaned up against the counter. "Talk," I told him."I'm sorry, man. I was just mad that Scarlett kissed you. She's not supposed to want anyone else but me when I'm around, and it pissed me off that she wanted to kiss you. I know that what I did was childish in the moment, and I shouldn't have let it get to me, but I did."
Jillie's POV I was pulled out of my sleep by the feeling that someone was watching me. I sat up in bed and looked around the room. My eyes shot to the corner when I thought I saw something move. I switched on the bedside lamp, but there was nothing there. I shivered, and my eyes went to the window. It was open, and the curtains were blowing in the breeze. Then I saw something blur across the window. It was so fast that I couldn't make out if it were a person or just the shadow from a tree outside."Jarren," I whispered, shaking him."What's wrong?" he asked, eyes still closed."There's something outside the house.""Yeah, trees," he said, trying to pull me back down.I rolled my eyes because I knew he wasn't really hearing me. "No, Jarren, I saw something move.""There is nothing out-" He cut off mid-sentence and sat up, barring his fangs. He looked around the room and then at the window. He got out of bed and walked over to it. I heard a low growl esca
Jillie's POV“So?” I asked them not wasting any time.“Nothing,” Jarren said.I looked him over, and his shirt was torn like the others. “Why do you look so beat up if it was nothing?”“We ran into some Trolls,” Garret informed me.“Trolls.”“Yea, you know, small-”“I know what Trolls are,” I said, cutting Rian off. “They’re usually just meddlesome.”“Exactly,” Mason said. “They thought it would be funny to keep setting up their stupid little traps.”“We’re all torn up because the females thought it would be funny to throw themselves at us,” Garret spoke, rolling his eyes. I fell out laughing. I couldn’t help it. I know they were all looking at me like I was crazy, but at the moment, I didn’t
Jarren’s POV I was pissed. Why was she so insistent on putting herself in danger? I couldn’t even believe she’d think of something like that. There was no way in hell that I was going to bite her. I’d done that once, and I hated myself. Why the hell would she think that I’d do it again? I bent over the counter—elbows on top of it, with my face in my hands. I took deep breaths calming myself. Here I was, being mad at her for thinking something so stupid, and I should have been angry at myself as well. I’d walked away from her again. Once I calmed down, which took a few minutes, I opened the bathroom door. She was lying in bed with her back to me. I walked over and slid into bed slowly. I put my hand o
Jarren's POV“Jarren.” I turned and saw my grandmother. Walking over to her, I looked around. I hadn’t been here before. Nothing looked familiar. Everything was a shade of calming blue.“New place?” I asked.“Well, I have to keep it interesting.” She responded. I nodded. “Your father told me you needed to speak with me.”“I do, but not here,” I said, gesturing to the dream surroundings.“Then when? He said it was important.”
Jarren's POVAfter we finished eating, we went into the living room to watch a movie. The girls decided on ‘Alice in Wonderland.’ We sat there and watched the movie. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. It was actually pretty good.“Now what?” Kaileeh asked after the movie was over.“Let’s go shopping,” Sage suggested.“You want to go back toward home to go shopping?” Rian asked with a raised eyebrow.“Nope. The other way,” she told him.“The closest town that way is over four hours,” Garret informed her.“The closest hum
