39: Differing Views

Jillie’s POV

           I walked into the room, and over to the cup I’d sat on the nightstand. I heard the door close a minute later. I turned around, and Jarren was standing there. He was leaning against the door with his fist clenched. I looked into his eyes, and they weren’t the gorgeous gray/blue that I loved. They were changing. I held the cup out to him. He raised an eyebrow before walking over and taking it.

“How did you-”

“Closet,” I said, pointing and cutting him off. “Why else keep a fridge and a microwave in there?” I then asked, causing him to laugh.

           I sat on the bed and looked intently at me. He then looked down at the cup. I laughed a little, and his head snapped back to me.
