46: Unpleasant Encounter
Jillie’s POV
We walked into the store, leaving the boys outside. We followed Kaileeh over to the corsets. She picked up a red one and held it up.
“This is cute.”
“That is ugly,” I told her.
It really was hideous. It was red with lime-green stripes. What person in their right mind would like that, but then again, this was Kaileeh, and anything that resembled Christmas, no matter the time of year, appealed to her.
“Why would you need that anyway?” I asked her.

Jillie’s POV I watched as Jarren got up and made his way down the hall. I could tell he was still a little upset about what happened earlier today. I’d have to talk to him tonight about it. It really wasn’t a big deal, even though she pissed me off. His defending me made him look like the bad guy, and that’s something I never wanted. I turned my attention back to the game, and it was my turn. I only had about seven cards in my hand, and if I played them just right, I’d have one left after this turn. Jillie’s POV We’d pulled into Jarren’s parent’s palace after dropping Garret and Kaileeh off at his house. I’d always just thought they all lived together until Jarren told me differently on Valentine’s Day. I was in complete awe as we walked up to the front doors.
