Dave's phone rang, it sounded loud. He immediately picked it up without looking at the caller ID first.

Angel, who was getting ready to sleep on the bed, immediately turned her attention to her husband.

Dave's forehead seemed to wrinkle at whatever the caller said.

"Okay, I'll be there soon." Dave's voice sounded worried.

"Who?" asked Angel curiously as soon as the phone line was cut off and Dave put his cell phone on the bed.

"The hospital," said Dave.

"Hospital? Something happened?"

Dave, who had just finished taking a shower, put on his clothes in a hurry.

"Yes," he answered, short and flat.

What's really going on? Angel thought. Dave looked worried and his emotions seemed to be unstable. Angel took the initiative to approach him.

"Are you okay?"

Dave didn't answer.

"Dave," Angel called softly. She touched the man's shoulder and repeated her question, "What's wrong, Dave? What happened at the hospital?"
