Audrey POV

Mark makes soft circles with his thumb on my arm as we lie on the pool ground on top of several fluffy white towels. My skin is covered in goosebumps and my body is calm and relaxed, “I was afraid you were going to break up with me.” Mark sighs, breaking the silence.

I sit up, looking into his emerald, green eyes, and I shake my head, “No, I wanted to hear from you about what they sent. I love you and I didn’t want to take the word of someone who is blackmailing me over the man who treats me right.”

Mark smiles, kissing my lips and I giggle as his hand now circles my nipple, “What did they send?”

I sigh and wiggle my nose against his, ‘It was a background sheet. It said you were an abuser and had even put one girl in ICU.”

Mark’s face goes stern, and he shakes his head, “Those are all lies, Audrey. Here, come with me, I’ll show you.”
