Killian's POV

“Sometimes I think she's a witch…”

The bourbon—which isn't my go-to choice—burnt my throat so much hotter than regular vodka did. “This tastes like the shit hole of hell itself..”. I muttered.

“Well, you asked for the strongest stuff I had and that is it. Sorry, but this is what poor people like me drink.” Stephen chuckled, switching the bottle for a much colder one which I appreciated with a nod of affirmation. Then I realized he could have read my gesture as me conceding that he was poor.

“By the way I don't think you are poor. You aren't, your apartment is actually nice. Comfortable is the word.”

“Yeah…” he came to join me on the joint couch, “I guess you can say that.”

“It can't be that bad having your parents over.” He chuckled lightly. I know he didn't exactly know my parents so I didn't blame him.

“You don't know my parents. If you did, you would know why I'm chucking this shit down instead of being at Ana’s place right now.”
