Chapter 91

Killian's POV

I headed to the elevator and dragged myself all the way to my apartment only to find Stephen seated by my front door.

“Stephen, what are you doing here??”

His head popped up from his phone which he was staring down at. His folded legs loosened and he was on his feet in a split second. My brain was too tired to think of how he did it, I was more worried about why he was at my place at 10 PM.

“Thank God you are back, where the hell has your—sorry, I mean where is your phone—”

“Please, not you too man. I have spent all day trying to convince Katie that I'm a good guy, please don't do that. You can talk to me like a friend, THAT YOU ARE.” I emphasized. Those words I would admit took a lot more strength from me than dragging myself from the parking lot all the way to my apartment.

“Okay…” he replied awkwardly, “Your phone?” He asked again.
