I apologize for not updating last week. I was sick with Covid. I would also like to thank those who have continued to read my story and sincerely hope you have enjoyed.
THE END IS NEAR…Johnathan stood looking at the scrolls. He picked one up and unfolded it. There were weird symbols and pictures on it. The scroll looked as though it had been written by Native Americans. He sat that one down and picked up a second one. This one had strange markings on it. Another scroll had lines on it. Johnathan didn’t know what any of the scrolls said, but he would as soon as the rest of his team got here, he would. They wouldn’t be able to study the scrolls here. The scrolls would have to be moved to a safer area. An area where he would less likely be seen. He kept staring at the scrolls and couldn’t shake the feeling that he was missing something. Something that was right in front of his eyes. There was one scroll that was well hidden. The scroll he needed. The one that not only would tell him where the darkness was but show him how to get to it. The scroll was written on the walls of the cave, and when he cloaked the secret room to make it look like no one had e
JOHNATHAN’S SURPRISE… “Everyone is in place.” One of the allies said, as she approached the group. “His eyes are still on us.” Another one said. “Good, let’s try to keep it that way.” Aaliyah replied. “Next two.” Said the Alpha of the Allied pack. Two more wolves stepped in the center and began to fight. Skylar approached Aaliyah and said. “After today we need to start training everyone together. We are going to be going up against all factions with all factions. We need to learn how to fight each other.” “I agree with you. It’s not going to be easy, but if we are going to survive this.” Aaliyah agreed. “That’s tomorrow’s fight let’s just get through today first.” Skylar said as they both nodded. Johnathan was too busy watching the allied pack that he didn’t notice he was being surrounded by the pack and the rest of the allies. Half had already shifted into wolf form and the other half walked with the witches ready to shift at moment’s notice. They were just all waiting on Felan’s s
Translation…Johnathan woke up in a dark cave and rubbed his head. It took him a minute to remember what had happened. He looked at his phone and realized it was too early to be this dark in the cave. He turned on his flashlight and that is when he realized he was sealed in the cave. He smiled and laughed because they had sealed him in with the scrolls. “Stupid fools.” He said. He checked his phone and realized he still had a signal barely, but it would be enough. He sent a quick message to his people that read ‘sealed inside cave. Translate scrolls and get back to me. Radio silence until then.’He could use his magic to restore his phone’s battery, but without food and water to restore his strength, he would grow weak quicker. He knew he should have set up camp inside the cave, but he felt it was too risky. He was trying not to put the wolves on alert, if someone came wandering in. He would conserve his strength and energy for as long as he could. He didn’t know how long he was going
Finding Darkness…PART ONEJohnathan cast an illumination spell that dimly lit the cave. He started to look around for possible exits or anything that could help him possibly escape. He found nothing but the scrolls. He grabbed one and sat down. He opened and stared at the scroll like he was expecting the translation to magically appear or come to him. He stared at it for a long time, and was about to throw the scroll, when he thought he heard a whisper. It was a faint sound, but the words said look up. He stood up and started saying “Hello”. He heard the whisper again and walked toward the entrance of the cave, but there was nobody standing. The whisper came again, only this time it wasn’t a whisper, but more of a shout. “LOOK UP”. He obeyed and that is when he noticed a faint glow. Like the ceiling had been painted with glow in the dark paint. He followed it back into the secret room and the glow stopped in the center of the room.Johnathan wasn’t yet sure what it meant, but he coul
Finding Darkness…PART TWOHe pulled out his phone and tried taking pictures again, but still nothing showed up. This lead him to the conclusion that either the engraved scroll was spelled or that the scroll was magically engraved into the wall. This meant that only the supernatural could see it or the scroll could only be seen in person. The other problem he ran into was because of the way the scroll was written, Johnathan couldn’t tell where the scroll started and where it ended. He felt his strength weaken and went to the backpack. He pulled out some protein bars and a bottle of water. He stared at the scroll while he ate hoping at least one of the answers would come to him.One of the symbols kept catching his eye. He felt like he had seen the symbol before and then he smacked himself. The symbol was on one of the handwritten scrolls. He downed his bar and started rummaging through the scrolls, until he came across one with the symbol. He was right, the symbol on the wall and the o
Hidden Message…It didn’t take Sally very long to find all the words and symbols that were repeated in the scrolls. Only three of the items had been translated. The word for hold the, the symbol for obtain, and the symbol for darkness. She added the translations to her notes along with how many times each were repeated. The library wasn’t much help. They were only able to translate bits and pieces of the remaining scrolls. There wasn’t enough to make even an assumption of what the scrolls said. It seemed translating the rest of the scroll would prove more difficult than they first thought. They would have to move onto the next closest library, which was three hours away. Sally cursed under her breath. “Damnit.”They all stopped and looked at her. She forgot other super naturals had super hearing. “This has been disappointing.” Sally said, as she closed the book. “Let’s clean up, grab a bite, some supplies, and head toward the next library. We will rest up there.” She stood up grabbin
FRUSTRATION…Sally felt like her mind was racing at a hundred miles an hour. She sighed heavily and decided to take a shower. She walked into the bathroom, got undressed. She turned on the shower, stepped under the water, and let the steam from the spray soothe her muscles. She didn’t hear the bathroom door open. She was in deep thought until she felt hands on her hips. She grabbed the hands and pulled one hand between her legs and the other one to her boob. She then reached behind her and grabbed the ass. She could tell it was Owen from the way his cheeks felt, and he is the only one who would have the courage enough look at her naked let alone touch her in this way. Owen had bronze colored skin, short spiky dark hair with hunter green eyes. He was all muscle and stood about a foot and a half taller than Sally. He was a special witch one that could teleport, but he only learned he had this ability.Owen brought his lips to her neck and began to slowly caress and gently bite it. “You
TRANSLATION COMPLETE… Sally and the rest of her team made it to the outer borders of Nezerra’s pack and found a place to camp. She tried to send Johnathan a message, but there was no signal, so she sent him a magical one instead. She told him that they were close, had set up camp about 5mins east of the pack border and would make their way to him the next day. Johnathan got the message and sent a reply. “Patrol may have doubled on border be careful and watch for traps.” He couldn’t help but feel excited, soon he would not be stuck in the cave, and he could continue his search for the darkness. He would soon learn that everything he needed to obtain the darkness would be right in front of him. The next morning Sally was the first one awake. She decided to do some recon of the area. She Astro projected and moved closer to the border. She wasn’t liking what she was seeing. Nezerra did more than double the border patrol and he had more men and women than they originally thought.
