Waking up for the second time after I was taken, the first thing I felt was the excruciating pain that was cursing through my body making me winch out in protest before opening my eyes.

I could guess why my body aches a lot but I didn’t want to dwell on it because memories of what had happened in the past few hours would rush back and right now, I didn’t want to dwell on them.

Notwithstanding, the events flooded my thoughts before I could stop it, if that was even possible, stopping it I mean.

The first thing that flashed through my head was waking up in an unknown place with my hands tied behind me hence limiting my freedom to move as I wanted to, and panic hit me, and wondered what was going on.

[Where am I? Why are my hands tied?]

All I could last remember was being escorted to Dante’s study by my guards because he wanted to see me but before we got to his study, the guard that came to inform me had suddenly attacked the remaining guards and rendered me unconscious.
