Leonard
When I looked into her eyes, she had allegations against him. With a knife deeply buried on her back, she didn't bother to seek answers through her unspoken words. She was terrified, broken and above all looked betrayed.
"Eyes on me," I commanded her even though I knew that she won't avert her gaze because she wanted me to go through the same pain that she was going through. I saw a tsunami in her big blue ocean. I saw waves of pain and hurt.
"Don't close your eyes." When my hand reached her back that was all I had managed to say. Because I knew if she would close her eyes, she won't open them again pushing me more into the guilt of the ocean.
She didn't rather she fought to keep them open until I removed the knife stabbed on her back.
That was the first time my heart jolted hearing her agonizing scream.

Iris found her mouth went dry. There wasn't a little amount of saliva left for her to gulp. His big mouth opened coming towards her and all she could do was to close her eyes. When Iris woke up in the morning all she could feel was a sharp pain in her back. But the warmth beneath her body was giving her some relief. Without opening her close she pushed her trembling body more towards the warmth to snuggle. The next morning when Iris woke up she found herself lying in the same room wrapped in a sheet. Her eyes landed on the nightstand where the water jug was kept. Balancing her body on her elbow she leaned a little to grab the jug to quench her thirst. But it wasn't easy especially when her right shoulder was badly injured.
