Chapter 19
Leonard pulled her body softly and closely to him avoiding putting extra pressure on any of her delicate parts. Those welt marks were more than prominent and her shivering was giving him only a guilty feeling.
"Iris..." He called her name but her daze wasn't broken. Her feverish body, incoherent sound all made him utterly disturbed. He wasn't annoyed but a different pang of guilt was bubbling inside him.
She wasn't wearing anything on her upper body. Even though he had seen plenty of naked women, something was stopping him from watching the bruises unconscious girl in her naked form.
She was wearing something on her lower yet he got some confidence and pulled a sheet up to cover her front. Slightly he pulled her body towards him keeping the sheet close to her chest to not extend her nudity.
"Please... Please...." Those sobs kept on coming from her mouth as he stroked her soft fluffy cheeks to pass some comfort.

The next morning when Iris woke up she found herself lying in the same room wrapped in a sheet. Her eyes landed on the nightstand where the water jug was kept. Balancing her body on her elbow she leaned a little to grab the jug to quench her thirst. But it wasn't easy especially when her right shoulder was badly injured.
