She expressed feigned understanding, then gave up when the name rang no bell, whatsoever. When she rose both brows in expectancy, he almost laughed.

"You don't recognize the name?"

Her brows scrunched up as she tried racking her brain. When she came up dry, she returned her eyes go his and said,

"Uh... No? Am I supposed to?"

He stared at her for a while. Then, slowly, a smile began budding on his face. Seconds later, he was chuckling. "What?" Beth asked, wondering if she was missing something.

"Nothing," he shrugged, smiling lightly. Oh, how he loved her.

"Huh. Am I supposed to know her?" She repeated.

"No," he replied. "Not at all."

She narrowed her eyes, feeling lost and even more curious. "Why is she unwanted?"

He shrugged lazily.

She tilted her head to the side, silently urging him on.

"I just don't want to see her," he stated.

"Just like that?"

He shrugged again.

"Why did she come to you?"

"She said she wanted to be friends," he responded, scoffing at the remembrance of just
