"You can enjoy your life with your crippled boyfriend and don't even think of ever calling me. I cut all ties with you as my sister," Jeff stated and I slowly clenched my fingers. My heart wrenched painfully as I watched him drag his suitcase toward the exit door and just like that, he left me.

Tears brimmed in my eyes as I stared at the closed door, but I tried to hold them back.

"Celine?" Bryant called me, and I turned to face him.

"I'll be in my room," I said to him, and without spending another second in the living room, I took off to my room.

I pushed the door open at once and barged inside, crashing against the door as soon as I was inside. I finally allowed my tears to fall freely down my cheeks as I hugged my knees to myself.

I reached for my phone and dialed Jeff's number even though he already told me never to call him. I was hoping he'd change his mind and come back to me. He knew nowhere here so I couldn't just leave him alone to himself like that, yeah?
