I left Clarissa's office feeling furious, my ears pounding and adrenaline rushing through my body. I got in my car and started driving like a maniac, my hand shaking on the steering wheel and my mind swelling with anger and frustration.

Nothing made sense to me anymore and I was mad at everyone, mad at the world, mad at my mum for lying to me, mad at Clarissa and her stupid dad, mad at the moon goddess for cursing me and giving me a mate who could never be mine.

Driving with no destination in mind, my thoughts were consumed by the events of the day and I remembered how Clarissa's dad sent heavily armed guards to arrest me.

I tried to fight them off but when they accused me of abducting Clarissa, I had to go with them, or else they'd expose me.
