Violet took Lucian back into her room. She closed the door and made him sit on the bed with her sitting beside him. "Why did you listen to my mother to cut off your arm? Why did you do that?!" she asked into his eyes in tears. He could clearly see on her face that she was so scared and so worried about him. "I'm so sorry. Please don't cry," he said with his sad look.

She hugged him tightly. "Please... Promise me. Never do that again. I will never forgive myself forever if something bad happens to you because of me," she said, sobbing. 

He didn't care if he had to lose his arm, but he did care about her so much and about her feelings. "I promise you. I won't do that again," he said, hugging her in his arms. She said nothing, just kept crying. He kissed her forehead gently, tears filling his eyes. Seeing her cry and grieve because of him made his heart shed tears.
