Chapter 50 Daddy George

George stood there, frozen. The stairs beneath his feet were steady, but his world collapsed upon hearing his daughter utter those words. He came to get warm water for Shrey and check on her, but what he saw was one of his worst nightmares.

His daughter was more comfortable sharing her emotions with Jenna than with him. For him, it was good that she at least opened up with someone, but what she said stung his heart again.

He was angry at himself; he didn't give his hundred percent to finding his daughter. No father, whether mafia or common working man, would have taken so long to find their children, but he was a total disappointment for his daughter in his eyes.

With a heavy heart, George went towards them, wiping away the tears that urged to fall.

"Princess," George whispered softly, "I'm sorry." and he failed. He failed to hold his emotions in, and they burst out. He started crying. "Why did you not come, daddy?" Kendall said, finally hugging him tight.
