Chapter 6 Infront of me

George's POV

After so long, my Shrey and I are walking together. I want to embrace her, feel her hand in mine and never let her go. She is next to me, smiling serenely and delicately, holding that little buck we found in this substantial forest.

I'm overwrought by looking at her; she has started to be relaxed in my presence only in a few hours, and my hopes to make our family complete once more are gradually increasing.

I sighed and reached into my pocket to get my phone to call someone to help us out of this forest. It's already getting late, and we have been walking for more than 2 hours. I want to pause here and enjoy this moment with my love.

But pausing the scene here may cause me the life of my daughter; we have been searching for her for four weeks, yet no clues of her. I'm helpless and tired but pretending is the only option for me when it comes to Shrey.

I didn't even realize that I had been staring at my lock screen for so long, which consisted of my daughter's picture, "Who is she?"

Shrey asked me while continuing her walk and petting the little buck. "She is my daughter," I sadly replied, and it's too hard to consider our daughter as only mine.

She has lost her memory yet her emotion and love for her family can be sensed by the pause she took to analyze this fact and the way she is staring at our daughter's picture is proof of it,

"Her name is Kendall; she is the twin sister of my other baby Luke?" I told her, though it can't help her remember those precious moments she has cherished and lived with them,

"And what about their mother?" She is in front of me! "It's you, my love," I sadly replied to her, hoping to get a positive response.

POV END

Shrey paused in her track and felt something unknown and unfamiliar feeling in herself, she wanted to deny his words, but she lacked to express it.

George sighed and called his subordinates to come and help them out, "It's okay if you remember nothing, sweetheart."

She just hummed and avoided eye contact with him; she was nervous as she knew she was going to be locked soon and fretful about being examined by unfamiliar faced doctors and living with unrecognized faces.

By the look on her face, George quickly sensed her dilemma to trust him or not, so he coldly stated, "Don't worry Shrey, this time I won't be locking you! And once we reach our house, I won't bother you, but for our kids, you have to cooperate with doctors."

Shrey was concerned about Louis's life and wanted to know more about George and his family, so she decided to cooperate with him,

Subsequently, a few minutes later, George's subordinates arrived; George and Shrey sat in the car and were on their way home with the little buck on Shrey's lap.

"Don't you want to name him?" George asked to start a fresh conversation with her.
