A message

The following morning, I woke up to the sound of the door being knocked. Groaning, opened my eyes lazily, the sudden assault of light forcing me to shut them again. The knocking continued, however, and I had to sit up to rub my head, feeling a headache coming.

"I'm coming!" I grumbled, pulling myself out of bed. Stumbling over the carpet, I made my way to the door, and unlocked it, opening it wide enough to peek outside. On the other side of the door stood Valeria who had a grin on her face.

" Welcome back, your highness!" She teased and I rolled my eyes at her.

" What brings you here?"

" Nothing much. You missed breakfast, so I decided to bring you something." She said, pushing the door wider and walked in, a small basket hanging from one of her arms. I shut the door and sat down at the table where she placed the basket down and proceeded to arrange the plates of food.
