“And if it's not my charming friend.” Phil beamed as he sat opposite me. He looked like he rushed, to get here. I don't blame him because I just suddenly called and asked him to meet me.

I returned from Miguel's house an hour ago, to make it in time to bring my kids home.

“You took your time, didn't you?” I frowned at him, “I was intending to leave before you arrived.” I pretended like I was angry at him when I wasn't.

“I'm sorry. There was something I needed to take care of. Don't be offended, okay?” He grinned.

“Even if I want to be annoyed with you, I can't,” I pouted. “You are just too cute for me to be angry at you.”

“See? I'm too handsome for you to be angry with me.” He placed both hands on his cheeks, “So, why did you call me here? I know it's not to drink coffee.” He glanced around at the almost empty café, “it's almost evening!”
