Commotion in the castle

Dahlia woke up the next morning only to meet the side of the bed where Lorenzo was lying empty. She sat up and was surprised to see that she was already served breakfast on a small stool close to her bed. She smiled at his thoughtfulness. She wondered where he was, or had he gone to the castle already?

That was when she looked and noticed the small note that was kept on the side of the stool. She picked it up to read.

'Left for the castle. Made you breakfast. I will be back early.'

She smiled reading it, wondering when he left. She then heard footsteps outside the room, and she wondered if he had not left. She quickly stood up to check. When she came out of the room, she saw that it was indeed him.

"You are still here?"

"Uhm yeah. I was just about leaving. I didn't want to wake you up since you barely slept last night."

She smiled at him. "Can I go with you to the castle? I want to meet the king and queen."

"I would have loved to take you, but that would make me late."
