The beast within

Freya and Elric sat around the dining table, both eating their late breakfast. Freya had insisted that she would not eat, unless he ate, and he had to, as he didn't want her to stay hungry.

Freya had a lot of questions in mind to ask him. He told her that he was a hybrid, but he didn't mention the species. Could he be a werewolf and a vampire, or perhaps another supernatural creature that they weren't too familiar with?

She decided to wait until he had eaten and rested. She still shivered and got goosebumps anytime she remembered his experience the previous night. It was really heart wrenching for her to watch. How could he still put on a smile after that?

They ate in silence. It was a bit awkward as they both had something to say to each other, but they kept it to themselves for similar reasons. After a while, Freya decided to speak up.
