Sasha’s POV

I got into the helicopter with Valentino following behind. I sat down there as I thought about the kind of life that awaited me.

As I looked down from the view up there, I could see the whole city in view. I looked at the scene we had just left and saw a mass of bodies and the cops coming into the scene.

Valentino seemed well-connected even in places I didn't expect.

While we flew ahead, I noticed he had a call on his phone, I took it up to hand over to him when I noticed the caller. It was the police chief.

I listened to the content of their call and overheard Valentino telling the police chief to handle the situation as it was an assassination attempt on him.

“Sweetheart, I hope you're not hurt,” I asked, deeply concerned.

“Dear, I'm fine, just a little thing I am thinking about,” he responded.
