Sasha's POV

I can't let Rose die like that. She warned me that he would kill her if he found out. I paced back and forth, thinking about what move to make to forestall this conversation. My mouth ran so fast, like running water out of a leaking tap.

“What’s wrong with you? Why are you moving around in such a manner?” Valentino questioned me.

“I’m feeling pressed; I need to make use of the restroom,” I said in a bid to waste away time and have him forget about this topic.

I hope he doesn’t bring it back up. The Valentino I was getting to know wouldn’t forget things so easily. He seemed to have a photographic memory, always paying attention to the details, even those one might have felt did not matter.
