Kendall’s POV

After Declan left the mansion to take care of some administrative work, I decided to take a walk in the garden. The fresh air and the beautiful flowers did wonders to clear my mind. I strolled along the path, taking in the scents of roses and the soft rustle of leaves.

As I turned a corner, I saw a familiar figure standing by the fountain. It was Caden. A smile spread across my face as I hurried over to him. He turned at the sound of my footsteps, his face breaking into a grin.

“Hey, Kendall,” he said warmly, “it’s good to see you!”

I embraced him briefly, feeling a rush of gratitude. “Caden, I’ve missed you. I can’t tell you how happy I am to see you.”

He chuckled, patting my shoulder. “I’ve missed you too. The place hasn’t been the same without you.”

We settled on a nearby bench. “Thank you for the other night,” I said, looking into his eyes. “For standing by me, for always having my back when Declan was…well, when he was being less than kind.”
