The letter peeking from one of the men’s jackets was red, the queen’s colour.

I squeezed deeper into the cave’s darkness, hoping the three wolves would not see me.

This is the third time the queen has sent assassins after mother and the third time I have managed to diverge their attention.

Yet how much longer must I live this way?
