Chapter 22— Fear and recovery at last

Alexander's POV

I batted my lashes as I watched Rosalie through the mirror. She had just been taken into the hospital and was about to be attended to.

Sweat broke on my face and my hands trembled as my imagination ran wild. The fear gripped me tightly, it's suffocating grips choking me as time went by.

She was injected with the hard drugs.

Collins drugged her even after I helped with the transportation of his drug. I clenched my hands together as I stared at Rosalie shaky self.

While I drove home, her pupils dilated and constricted at intervals. I could see the drugs took effect on her.

It was overdose.

I casted my gaze down as regret pinned me and dealt furiously with me. It was my fault. I wasn't supposed to take her for that coffee.

How could I have forgotten how shady my life was?

I sniffed and sighed. I just had to wait. They had to get the drugs out of her bloodstream.
