Chapter 32— Fear of being shattered

"You have to leave," Alexander's words came quicker than he guessed.

"Huh?" Rosalie's brows crumpled as he walked briskly to her. "It's a—" Alexander exhaled as he thought of the lie.

Collins could be there any moment from then. He had to make her leave the house. "The call you received is an important one and I'd have to leave the house," the lie rolled out of his mouth to his astonishment.

"Then, can I stay here? I—"

"No," Alexander cut her short before she continued. He had to tell her to leave before she asked questions. If she inquired, he wouldn't be able to give a good excuse.

And then, Collins could be there any moment.

Rosalie sighed. She sniffed and bit her lip. The determination was clear in his voice. She had to leave. But she was just about to eat.

She tore her eyes away from him and stood up. "Okay."

"Good, my driver will take you," Alexander reached out for her hand but she didn't take it.
