The escape

Serena had just slipped into her room when the knock came at her door and one of the senior female betas June entered followed by two omegas. June held a small golden chalice in her hand.

“What is that?” Serena asked.

“The Alpha has sent some sedatives to calm your nerves during the ceremony. It would only last for thirty minutes. You can drink it right before the walk to the Ceremonial Circle.” June replied.

“Thank you, you can keep it on the table.” 

Serena was undressed and led to the bathroom, where she was submerged in a hot bath that smelled of vanilla and spice. Her body was scrubbed clean. After the bath, she was rubbed dry with fluffy towels and led back to the room. While the women prepared her for the ceremony, Serena prepared her escape plan.
