Chapter 49

Eleanor.

My eyes opened slightly with ease. I have never had a sleep so peaceful. I tried standing but my movement was restricted by a familiar hand. The scent I could never forget.

"You're awake," Mr Harrison said. Of course, I am awake. Obviously. He dabbed my head with a damp towel. "You always get into trouble when I'm not there."

I closed my eyes. For a moment, I wished I hadn't woken up yet. "What are you doing here?" I asked.

"You tend to forget things anytime you are in my room," he said ludicrously. I bit a smile and turned to the other side of the bed. "Why am I always in your room anytime I wake up from an illness?" It was a rhetorical question.

"Why do you think? It's because I am your fairy godmother…or should I say, your guardian angel." He cracked his neck. "What would you like to eat? Should I prepare you a perfect meal or you'd rather eat me? I am hot enough."

I laughed. He was being too flirtish. "I'd have food, please. You should cook it yourself."
