Axel Disagreement

In the dim light of dawn, Axel's eyes fluttered open, his slumber disrupted by a nagging worry. His mind raced with concern for his mother, who had failed to return home the previous day. A knot of unease tightened in his chest, urging him to action.

Throwing off the covers, Axel swung his legs over the edge of the bed, his bare feet meeting the cold floor. Each step felt heavy with anticipation as he made his way towards Aunt Alice's room, where he knew his twin sister Mia would still be fast asleep, blissfully forgetting their mother's absence due to her ever forgetfulness while Asleep and the first few minutes she wakes up.

The door creaked softly as Axel pushed it open, revealing the shadows that clung to the room. Moonlight spilled through the partially drawn curtains, casting a soft glow upon Aunt Alice's bed. Hesitant, Axel approached, his heart pounding in his ears.
