The shock

Axel, feeling helpless and worried, asked Alice, "Do you really think the police will be able to help us?"

Alice nodded, "Yes, I do. They will be able to track your mom's whereabouts and find out what happened to her. We'll go to the police station first thing in the morning."

Mia looked up at Alice hopefully, "Do you think they will find her soon?"

Alice reassured her, "I'm sure they will, Mia. They're experts in this kind of situation."

Axel asked, "What if she's in danger or hurt?"

Alice put her hand on his shoulder, "Let's not think the worst, Axel. We don't know what happened yet. But the police will do everything they can to find her and make sure she's safe."

Axel nodded, feeling a little more reassured. "What if she's at her workplace?" he asked.

Alice considered this, "That's a good point, Axel. We could go to her workplace and ask questions, see if anyone knows where she is, it will be a good start asking her boss!."

Mia looked up at Alice gratefully, "Thank you, Aunt Alice.
