Astrid’s / Veronica’s POV

“Are you okay?” Beta Ivan asked when he saw my discomfort after I left the Alpha’s office.

He quickly followed me as I walked along the pathway.

“Y-Yeah… It is just…” I gulped when I remembered what happened between Vincent and me.

He just burst out earlier for the reason that I don’t know, and admit it or not, I was hella terrified. That was the first time I saw the Alpha’s golden eye turn into black, and that was pretty scary. It made my knees tremble in an instant.
