Chapter 41

Chris had a business meeting at night, so he sent Kathryn back to Rexton Manor.

But Kathryn wanted to go back to the company apartment. She missed Tally!

Tally had called her many times since she entered Albert Manor. Now that Kathryn was finally separated from Chris, she quickly called her back.

Tally picked up almost immediately and nearly jumped in surprise. "Why haven't you picked up my calls? Where are you?" she asked.

"I'm on the ground floor of the company apartment. I was with Mr. Albert, so I didn't dare pick up!" Kathryn said fearfully.

Clearly, she still had yet to recover from the argument at Albert Manor.

"Get up here now," Tally said.

"Do you want to get dinner?" Kathryn asked.

"No need. I have no appetite!" Tally replied.

When Kathryn heard that Tally couldn't stomach food, she knew something was wrong. She hastily rushed upstairs.

Tally's roommates had active social lives, so neither of them was home that night.

When Kathryn entered the house, she could see
