"Thank god." Malakai sighed with a smile and Eden was confused. "What do you mean thank god?" Eden's arms went around Malakai's neck and with every second, the two somehow found a way to become even closer. "I really shouldn't tell you. I'm his best friend and he's entrusted me with a piece of information that is to remain classified." Eden rolled her eyes at Malakai's professionalism on this topic of all things. "I can gladly leave." Eden said, but she didn't mean it but still she was starting to get off Malakai's lap until the other pulled her back. "I'll tell you, but you can't disclose it and you can't show that you know. And we'll talk about you rolling your eyes at me again, even though I'm pretty sure I already warned you." Malakai said
Eden was driving home from the agency, still in Malakai's car which she keeps forgetting to give back and the other forgets to ask, when she felt like she was being followed. Eden tried to keep a steady pace but when she noticed the vehicle behind her, she sped up a little. It was difficult to see which car it was since it was night, but she could see it was either dark blue or black. Eden made unnecessary lefts and rights just to check and yeah, she was being followed. She got a little scared, which she promised she wouldn't, but she did. It was a little stupid though since she was a serial killer himself. She decided not to go home just yet and find out who was following her. She wasn't going to lead them straight to where she lived. So she dialled Malakai's number from the car, since she connected his phone long ago, the car was practically hers, and the older one picked up 2 rings later. "Hey little one. What up? You never call this late." Malakai asked, it was nearing 1
Malakai's room had black walls, no surprise, grey and black furniture. The walls had a ombré effect, it's started from black at the top to grey to silver and white near the floor. There was a large double bed that had a cushioned grey headboard, and silk sheets. There were also double glass doors that led out to a balcony. And finally a walk in closet. The whole room screamed Malakai, it was just him. "I can just go home." Eden said but she'll admit, if she drove there was an 80% chance she'd crash. She was so tired. "You're in no state to drive Eden, it's fine. I'll go to the guest room if it makes you more comfortable." Malakai said but Eden stopped him from leaving. "No it's okay, you can sleep in your own room, Malakai." Eden said nervously. Malakai noticed how Eden didn't offer to sleep in the guest room that Malakai pointed out, instead she wanted to stay in here and wanted Malakai to stay in here too. It made Malakai smile, but he had to hide it. "Okay, go to sleep ba
"What were you doing with Alec last night?" Malakai asked and Eden's eyes widened. She must have accidentally said it while in a half asleep state. "I told you he wants to make amends with me." She shyly said stuffing pancakes in her mouth. "And I told you he's only making amends because he wants you back." Malakai said and Eden looked at him with the most adorable face since her mouth was full with pancakes and she had wide doe eyes. "We only went to get a drink or two. He wants to keep being friends. He told me he'd accept it if I moved on." Eden said once she swallowed her breakfast. "Friends hm? Friends? We'll see." Malakai said and mumbled the last part thinking Eden didn't hear him. "Are you seriously jealous of your best friend?" Eden smiles cheekily, the whole thing amusing to her. "I told you, I don't do jealousy." Malakai denied. He went over to the sink to start washing up since Eden was done, when Eden came and hugged him from behind. Her arms went around Malaka
"You don't need to worry Kai, I promise. I moved on from him years ago and if I moved on so easily then, was there even love in the first place. Because if there was I wouldn't have moved on when I did. I don't want you to be scared that I'm gonna leave. I'm staying, believe me." Eden assured and caressed Malakai's black locks with her left hand and caressed his face with her right. It was understandable that Malakai would be worried about losing her, to his ex of all people, it was normal that he was scared. There was a history and Alec was trying to win her back. But rest assured, Eden had closed that chapter in her book. Her chapter with Malakai had started. "What did I do to deserve you? It couldn't have been anything good since I run a criminal underground but maybe in my past life." Eden laughed and Malakai smiled at the music that came from Eden. "Come on, I'm going to take you somewhere today." Malakai said and helped Eden off the island. "Where?" Eden asked as she was
"What's Alec doing here?" Eden asked but Malakai had a pretty good idea. "I have an idea. You." Malakai said sarcastically, it seemed Eden's sarcasm was rubbing off on him. "Don't be an ass. What the hell shall I do?" She asked herself and Malakai thought of something. "Walk from here. Walk. Say you went on a really long walk or something. Or to your cousins because you weren't feeling well." Malakai said and Eden hugged him. "What would I do without you?" She said in a dramatic tone and Malakai playfully rolled his eyes. Eden got off and took off the helmet, Malakai doing the same. He held Eden and kissed her forehead "I'll make him go, get ready and I'll come back out. I promise." Eden said and Malakai nodded, he kissed her one more time before Eden walked off in the direction of her apartment. She walked towards the entrance and when Alec saw her he got out of his car and walked towards her. He smiled at the blond and hugged her, Eden hugged him back bearing in mind that Mal
The two went and sat down on the soft grass, Malakai leaned against a tree and Eden put her head in his lap. They felt so at peace with each other. Malakai's hand was stroking Eden's blond locks and it made the younger one want to fall asleep. "I've always wanted to ask." Eden started and Malakai hummed in response. How come we've never been caught, or you?" Malakai smirked when he thought of the answer. "We're ghosts baby." Malakai responded and Eden wanted to laugh, but she was so confused at the same time. "Huh? The fuck do you mean?" Eden said and looked up to see a mischievous glint in her boyfriend's eyes. "I have someone, a hacker, his name is Rhys. He'd remove everyone's DNA, their information and everything there is about them off the systems of the world. When you joined the agency, he did the same. In short, we don't exist little one." Malakai said and Eden's eyes widened. She never knew the extent to which Malakai could go. "You scare me sometimes." Eden addres
Eden's blue eyes landed on black ones the second she opened them. She blinked to make sure she wasn't dreaming ands he wasn't, she woke up next to the man she was falling very hard for. Malakai had been awake for an hour and just watched the younger one sleep. She looked like a true angel when at peace. "Hi." Malakai said and Eden snuggled up to her boyfriend as much as she could. "Hey. How long have you been awake for?" Eden asked and Malakai's arms went round to hold her. "Not long." He said, Eden relaxed in his arms, very tempted to go back to sleep. "I don't want to get up." She mumbled against Malakai's chest and the older one smiled at her. "We're going to have to baby. We missed work yesterday too." He reminded her and Eden groaned. "My job is to kill people, that doesn't have a set time. Especially if your boss is also your boyfriend." Eden said and pouted up at the other to get out of work. "How about you stay here then, I need to go to the agency for a little while
