"Eden?" Malakai said and the other hummed in response.

"Have you ever... tried to contact your parents again?" Malakai asked. He wanted to know but he also didn't want to be overstepping.

"No." Eden simply said after some silence.

"Is there a reason?" Malakai asked again carefully and Eden shrugged.

"They kicked me out because I suddenly wasn't their daughter anymore Malakai, why would I want to contact them." Eden said. It wasn't really a question, it was more of a fact. She wasn't going to contact people that clearly wanted nothing to do with her.

"I don't know if it's the same thing, Eden, but I would contact mine again. If I could, that is. But not because I'd miss them. Because I want to throw it in their faces how far I've come without them. I'd love to contact them just to tell them how much they ruined my life.
