Luna stared in disbelief at Lucas, who was walking with an elegant-looking woman by his side. She furrowed her brows and squinted her eyes, making sure she wasn't mistaken: it was indeed Jodi, looking different from the last time they had met at the Alvarez residence. Luna had no choice but to follow Rico's steps as he approached Lucas and Jodi.

"I'm delighted to meet you in person. I thought you wouldn't want to come to my birthday party," Rico greeted Jodi warmly, and Luna's confusion deepened. She was utterly perplexed by the situation. How could her grandfather know Jodi?

I mean, sure, he would get to know the entire Alvarez family, but Jodi? Luna's thoughts came to a halt as Lucas's voice cut in.

"I promised Grandpa that I could bring this girl before him," Lucas joked and chuckled, followed by Rico's laughter.

"I really like your work. It's outstanding," Rico praised Jodi, who merely smiled in response.
